A Late Quartet

Although the videos from the movie are blocked (probably in my country) by FOX on copyright grounds, I felt compelled to write down a few words about A Late Quartet.

The movie approaches quite a rare theme among everyday movies: the interference between the personal and professional lives of a string quartet members.

The best performance, along Philip Seymour Hoffman (Academy Award® Winner) and Catherine Keener (Academy Award® Nominee), belongs to Christopher Walken  (Academy Award® Winner).

There’s a real string quartet behind the best performance of the actors, and this quartet is The Brentano String Quartet.

The critically acclaimed film “A Late Quartet” uses our new recording of Beethoven’s opus 131 in its soundtrack.

I said “a few words“, so I invite you to watch the movie directed by Yaron Zilberman!

IRON MAN – 2008

Tony Stark: Thank you for saving my life!

Yinsen: Don’t waste it! Don’t waste your life!

Quite an advice! An advice for all of us!

The above quote is from Iron Man (2008), movie inspired by MARVEL comics, and directed by Jon Favreau.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest

One flew East, one flew West… One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.

One day, I got a package from California. There was a book inside I’d never heard of written by an author I’d never heard of but when I started to read I saw right away that this was the best material I’d come across in America.
