Teasers 2014

From trailer to trailer on YouTube in order to correlate the ratings on IMDB and RottenTomatoes with what a movie has to offer, eventually I reached some 2014 teasers that captured my attention. I thought that they deserves our attention, so this is a post to point them out of the crowd.

There are only three movies (there must be a number connection with Three Years After!):

  • Winter’s Tale,
  • The Prototype, and
  • Jupiter Ascending.

Winter’s Tale

A burglar falls for an heiress as she dies in his arms. When he learns that he has the gift of reincarnation, he sets out to save her. (

Stars: Colin Farrell, Russell Crowe, William Hurt, Will Smith

The Prototype

A government agent stumbles upon an alien conspiracy to conquer Earth. Using a blue liquid created by the aliens to make soldiers stronger, he becomes The Prototype-the only hope for mankind. (

Jupiter Ascending

The Way Back

Strength, will, power to forgive, and power to move on.

In 1941 three men walked out of the Himalayas into India.

They had survived a 4000 mile walk to freedom.

This film is dedicated to them.

It is inspired by the book “The Long Walk” by Slavomir Rawicz, a long journey from Siberia, to India, crossing Mongolia, China and Tibet. A journey to freedom.

Crazy Heart

Thoughts and words that came into my mind while watching Crazy Heart:

A movie (at least) for country music lovers.

Some sort of (a musician’s) life style.

Phone booth in the middle of nowhere. (quite a landscape!)

A fishing scene.

Director: Scott Cooper

Cast: Jeff Bridges, Robert Duvall, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Colin Farrell

The other day I’ve watched Ondine, a movie starring Colin Farrell.

Except the fact that Romania is always strongly linked (by foreigners) to gypsies, I have noticed the following line:

Misery is easy. Happiness you have to work at.

Director: Neil Jordan

Cast: Colin Farrell, Alicja Bachleda, Alison Barry, Stephen Rea
