Bravetown and Wrong Side of Heaven – A Good Match

Watching Bravetown (directed by Daniel Duran), with that high BPM music perfect for dance and for those who love it, its story sent my mind straight to Wrong Side of Heaven. I see the movie Bravetown and the song of Five Finger Death Punch heavy metal band as a perfect match.

Street of Dreams

Turned onto the Street of Dreams driven by Leonard Cohen‘s songs. The song is My Oh My.

Street of Dreams is a short film directed by Martin Scorsese for Dolce & Gabbana, starring Matthew McConaughey and Scarlett Johansson.

Both are worth watching!

The Dark Valley

Freedom is not a gift that not everyone likes to receive.

The original music is composed and produced by Matthias Weber, and interpreted by Macedonian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Skopje, conducted by Oleg Kondratenko.

One of the songs that have drawn my attention are How Dare You, performed by Steaming Satellites, and Sinnerman by One Two Three Cheers And A Tiger featuring Lana Sharp.

Coming back to The Dark Valley, directed by Andreas Prochaska, and starring Sam Riley and Paula Beer… The very first line from this post is some sort of conclusion of this alpine drama.

Sundance Festival

A while ago I’ve read that Sundance Festival was named after a movie character, and I dig a bit for more information, and here’s an interesting fact taken from Robert Redford’s IMDB biography:

Robert Redford‘s breakthrough role was “The Sundance Kid” in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969), when the actor was 32. Redford used his clout to advance environmental causes and his riches to acquire Utah property, which he transformed into a ranch and the Sundance ski resort. In 1980, he established the Sundance Institute for aspiring filmmakers. Its annual film festival has become one of the world’s most influential.

Because the Sundance Mountain Resort was mentioned, here are the words of Robert Redford quoted on the front website page:

To us Sundance is and always will be a dream. What you see, smell, taste and feel here is a dream being carefully nurtured. It is an area whose pledge is to people. What we offer in the form of art and culture, spirit and service is homegrown and available to all.
